A friend invited me along to check try this place. No cars in the parking lot on a Weds 7:30pm is not a good sign. Went in and there was no one inside. It was really quiet and the hum of the beverage cooler started to annoy me. This place has no vibe, most everything on menu was out of stock. Definitely not a place I would walk in on my own to try. The food was average but don't order the fried fish. Very fishy and not crunchy enough for you to bite through the bones.

Celebrating Chinese New Year with some dim sum. Year of the pig. Holiday Villa has been here for decades, different owners. The restaurant is really starting to show it's age. Kinda run down, needs a face lift. Service is ok, nothing special, at least they aren't rude. The dim sum tasted like it had freezer burn... blah.

THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM

    Hear me out.

If you like Shanghai food like XLB, zha jiang mein.... This is the place to go to. It is not on their menu. They have hand-made noodles that are chewy and thick. Their xlb pops in your mouth with delicious soup. I ordered their green onion pancakes as well and it is crispy and chewy and light. I never came here for their regular Chinese food, but I found out they had a Shanghai menu -- it is amazing. Give this place a try, it won't disappoint!

I should have known better but my boss recommended the place so we shall see how this goes...

We walk in and we are the 2nd group in the entire building. We order our dim sum off of the menu and the food comes out hot and quick - gold star for that BUT I have a much better DIM SUM experience that I compare this to.

I was disappointed that they did not have pork buns only the steamed pork buns and I like the other ones so much better. They also don't have the buns that have the sweet potato in them. The lobster cheese rolls were good, the shrimp dumplings were good but the pork dumplings left a weird taste in our mouths.

Very reasonably priced...but I don't think I will be back...
